WHERE DO THE CLASSES TAKE PLACE?

All the classes currently take place in my private home studio based in Livingston, West Lothian. There is parking on and around the street and local bus and transport links close by.

WHAT IF I STRUGGLE WITH THE PROJECT ON THE DAY?

It's not a problem! The class duration is planned to give everyone enough chance to learn and try things out at a reasonable pace along the way. Help is always at hand, which is why the class size is small. If you could do the project already then you wouldn't be coming along to the class, so remember to give yourself room for finding things difficult or your outcome not being perfect the first time.

WHAT’S THE BEST WAY TO TAKE CARE OF MY JEWELLERY?

Silver jewellery needs to be clean when stored to minimise the tarnishing which happens naturally. This can be done with a soft-bristled toothbrush and any form of soap. The jewellery should be then thoroughly dried and stored, preferably in a closed jewellery box or an an airtight bag.

Cleaning cloths are available at supermarkets and premium retailers but really these are often ideal for giving a refresh to a polish at home, and cleaning the jewellery is simple and cost effective using the detail above.

HOW DO I FIND OUT MY RING SIZE?

If this is for one of our ring making classes, the ring gauges will be available on the day and this process will be part of the class.

For our Couples Bespoke Wedding Ring Workshop, you can either:

Get your finger measured at a local jewellery store (medium to high accuracy).

Use a piece of paper to estimate finger circumference (low accuracy).

Use our gauges to estimate your size during the consultation and finalise on the day of your workshop (high accuracy).

Guess (less than low accuracy).
