Join Scottish Silverworks for our Duo Of Silver Earrings Beginner Class and pick up skills that can get you started with a world of creative opportunities with jewellery. You will learn how to turn precious metal into 2 pairs of either stud, hoop and drop earrings to take home and show off your skills. No design or previous making skills needed - There are a range of earrings to choose from on the day. Whether your style is casual cool or red carpet glam, this workshop allows you to tap into your creativity and silver’s versatility. Find inspiration from the samples on the day, alternatively pop an email over if you have ideas you want to see can work in this class – the final pieces will be uniquely you. WHAT DOES THE CLASS INVOLVE? Under guidance, you will start by selecting the styles you wish to make of each earring and learn to use a range of forming and joining tools including the soldering torch. This class is great for someone looking to get to grips with more challenging techniques including controlled melting, filing metal, shaping intricately with pliers and hammers and soldering. You’ll learn to transform recycled and British sourced silver into adornments to cherish forever. Your expert instructor will guide you through the process over 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 hours in a morning, afternoon, or evening, with a small class size of up to 4 people. If you wish to book for a larger group booking please enquire directly. The class can run over a short while if needed but please make me aware if you are working to a schedule.
