All the details...

Discover the art of silver jewellery making with Scottish Silverworks. In the Silver Stacking Rings class, you'll have the chance to create a pair or more of patterned and stamped silver rings which can be worn individually or as a set. WHAT DOES THE CLASS INVOLVE? During this 2.5-hour class, you'll learn the basics of stamping and patterning silver from your expert jeweller with hammers, punches, pliers and more, to make unique and personalised rings. You will have a demo on measuring a ring size, marking and cutting this length on silver and soldering this into a seamless ring. Then you'll go on to manipulate your own silver to fit your desired finger and have a go at soldering it with the flame torch to make it a solid ring! There are different finishes like matte and shiny your instructor will demo too that you can add to your rings to make them just yours. You will have the chance to make up to three rings in the class, with everyone making at least 2. (Style and pattern may vary the amount you can complete) There will be tea and coffee or choice of cold drink while you play. WANT TO EMBELLISH YOUR JEWELLERY FURTHER? Enhance your stacking rings with a bespoke birthstone setting on the day, available for £70+ per gemstone (stone depending). I'll ensure they're ready for you to collect two weeks post-class.
